This was in a dream - we had a portable automatic musical instrument which played on two penny whistles, descant and tenor, and on a bodhran, the Irish hand-held drum. We wheeled it through the streets on a set of pram-wheels... 

 This would pose technical problems, but not unsurmountable ones. The music-roll reader and control mechanisms would operate under reduced pressure, "vacuum", whereas the pipes have to be blown with positive pressure, and at several levels. A few details:

I'd love to have the leisure, the facilities, the help to build this. One can dream...
