German authorities have warned of breast implants brand TiBREEZE, which were marketed between September 2003 and August 2004.

Apparently these implants include components of the now infamous French PIP.

The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery ISAPS says that at the time 728 implants were made. Most of them were sold in Germany, but also

in Belgium, Austria and Switzerland they were delivered. Worldwide, it would involve 400 patients.

EQUAM in 2004 :

EQUAM= The European and international commitee for quality assurance, medical technologies and devices in plastic surgery .

Titanium coated breast implants (Ti-Breeze) are being introduced for clinical use.

Not even short term clinical data for safety or efficacy have been provided to EQUAM.

This implant has been granted a CE-mark. EQUAM calls for clinical and scientific research

for documentation and monitoring of this device and recommends not using this device before proper

clinical data are available. >>
