Hi Chai

Come make some new friends at the largest informal SILC get-together (Adults Only) held the first Saturday of each month in the Cafe! Sip some hot chai, munch on some snacks and play games like Pictionary, Trivia, Charades and more!

Diwali Celebration and Family Photo Day: Come hungry to enjoy yummy food (made by the SILC Dads) and mithai (sweets). Dress your best in traditional clothes to get your family picture taken for the yearbook (or your holiday card)!

Halloween Dress-Up Day: An excuse to reuse your costume or to wear a new one! Get creative and have a few laughs!

SILC Mela: Our only Fundraiser - the SILC Mela (or Fair) features the chaos of an Indian Mela with lots of fun for children in the form of games, and other activities for children. What is a Mela without food? Vegetarian food is made by our SILC families. We are also presenting Great Gatherings: tickets will be sold at the Mela to later events hosted by SILC families: great dinners and parties!

Holi Celebration: Come enjoy the colors of Holi with the SILC community! Held towards the end of the school year when weather permits.

Social Studies Day: Social Studies students present their learning to the entire SILC community.

SILC Graduation Day: Last day of the SILC School Year! Students present the skills they have picked up during the year - on stage. Graduation certificates and SILC yearbooks are passed out - children get autographs from teachers and fellow students. The event culminates in a community potluck and friends say goodbye for the summer!
