Iryna has over 10 years of experience in policy analysis and research, and her current works covers economic considerations related to climate change and environmental policy. Her areas of expertise are policy design and evaluation, cost-benefit analysis, assessment of environmental and socio-economic impacts.
Iryna is a Senior Economist (ET Consultant) at the World Bank. I her current role, she carries out research and analysis on trade- and climate change- issues and related policies, provides support to country teams on trade and climate change issues in analytical and operational work, leads team contributions to CCDRs and collaborations with other international organizations that are working on related issues e.g. the WTO, UNCTAD, ITC.
Before joining the World Banks, she has been leading policy-oriented economic analysis in the fields of Energy and Climate at Ricardo Energy & Environment, KPMG Spain and Chilean Ministry of Energy. She has coordinated teams that contributed to the development of long-term energy and climate strategies, NDCs and sectorial decarbonisation plans at the European Union level, across Member States and in Latin America.
