Stable Isotopes Mass Spectrometry, and other analytical services at Ciências, University of Lisboa
LIE - SIIAF is an I&D unit of the Faculdade de Ciências de Lisboa (Sciences Faculty at the University of Lisboa), aimed at providing Stable Isotopes Mass Spectrometry analysis to researchers inside and outside academia. We also offer DOC, IC and TC analysis in waters!
LIE develops in-house research activities as well as collaborations, consulting and contract services.
We are located at Building C2, room 2.1.16, Science Faculty, Lisboa.

History
LIE was founded in 1999 within CEBV (Centre for Ecology and Plant Biology).
We began with 2 IRMSs and an Elemental Analyser, and since we have moved twice in the campus to acomodate our growth.
Staff has been stable throughout, and collaborations with private companies and academia, Portuguese and foreign, have steadily increased.
LIE is now a fully experienced unit aimed at providing excellence on analysis quality, sample treatment, and experimental design consulting ; it works in close relation with the CE3C - Centre for Ecology, Evolution and environmental Changes (CE3C)
LIE aims at providing quality Isotope Ratio and Mass Spectrometry analysis to researchers in Portugal and abroad. Also, own research and student training are main focus of our activity.
