Winter is here! (Although it doesn't really feel like it most of the time!!!) Everybody has been hard at work here in lab 6! All classes have participated in various coding activities over the past few weeks and many have continued in our engineering units. This week, students have been participating in Valentine's Day themed Maker Space challenges and having a blast!
If you have not yet been able to participate in a STEAM night here at CVE, we have several more planned for this year! Come join us for all of the fun! To stay informed about these nights, be sure to follow CVE's twitter account!

Cold weather is here, but we are still doing quite a bit of learning here in Enrichment! All classes participated in The Hour of Code, an international coding event powered by code.org. Ask your students what they coded for this event! In addition, all grade levels have been working hard on their grade's STEAM activities, some of which include: 4th little pig houses, shelters, and learning about Environmental Engineering! In the week before winter break, classes have been participating in Winter/Holiday MakerSpace challenges and having a ton of fun!

Spring is finally here after all of that snow! Here in Enrichment we have been busy! Kindergarten has finished their coding unit and has started building with Legos using the Early Simple Machines set! First grade is still coding, but is almost finished their unit! Second grade has finished coding and is just starting up with their Lego unit by building and programing animals in the WeDo kits! Third grade is still coding, but will soon begin building with the Simple Machines kit! Fourth grade is coding up a storm and will soon start with the Simple and Powered Machines. Fifth grade is split with some classes still coding and some classes already building/programming the Lego Mindstorm EV3 kits! I can't believe how fast this year is going by! Don't forget to follow me on Twitter if you want to see daily updates!
