Dr. Siddhartha Mehta received his MS and PhD degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida with specialization in nonlinear controls and robotics. He also holds a masters degree in agricultural engineering from the University of Florida where he developed a vision-based control system for robotic citrus harvesting. In 2012, Dr. Mehta joined the faculty of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Florida. Dr. Mehta's research interests include visual servo control of autonomous systems, nonlinear adaptive and robust control, networked control systems, human-robot interaction, nonlinear Bayesian estimation, agricultural robotics. His research activities are funded by the AFRL/MN, AFOSR, and USDA. He is the recipient of University of Florida Technology Innovator Award (2012). Dr. Mehta is a senior member of the AIAA, a member of the IEEE, and an associate editor of the Journal of the Franklin Institute.
