We were joined by Dr. Andrei Tolstikov and Dr. Andrei Soromotin from Tyumen State University in Central Siberia. In the first half of the class, we had an open discussion with them about how environmental issues in Russia are the same or different in Alaska. In the second half of the class we connected with our friends in Kansas and listened to a presentation by Dr. Soromotin about oil development.
