The first SI2 PI meeting will take place in Arlington, VA on January 17th and 18th of 2013.  

Due to space limitations we are only able to accommodate one person per project—this includes Collaborative awards.

Time

The meeting will start around 8:30am on the 17th and end no later than 1:30pm on the 18th.  

(A separate meeting for S2I2 PIs only will take place on January 16th from 1pm to 5pm. Contact Dan Katz for information on this S2I2 meeting.)


Location

The main meeting will take place at the National Science Foundation.

Travel Costs

Each participant is expected to cover their own travel costs from the SI2 award: "All awardees are expected to participate in an annual SI2 PI meeting with travel costs supported by the award. These travel costs should be included in the FastLane budget."-- according to NSF/OCI.

One Pagers

We are collecting 1-page write-ups about your projects ahead of the meeting, so that the participants can learn about the goals, scope, and activities of your project. Please also indicate in the writeup how to best engage with your project (if desirable).  Please email the 1-pagers to Ewa Deelman by Monday, January 7th.

Questionnaire

In advance of the meeting, we have a short questionnaire we would like you to fill out. Since we are asking for your input on the agenda among other things, please fill it out as soon as possible, by Friday, December 14th at the latest. Posters

We will have a poster session and reception on Thursday night January 17th at the Westin. In addition to the PI meeting participants, we hope to invite NSF program officers as well. The recommended poster size is 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide (two posters will share a 4'hx8'w poster board).

The poster session will be held from 6pm-8pm at in F. Scott Fitzgerald C, on the 2nd floor of the Westin.
