The Old Mall

 System: Dread
 GM: Stephanie Frey
            Saturday, Mar 11, 6pm-10pm  2017

You and your friends have woken up in the old mall. It closed down a long time ago after some kids went missing. Which begs the question, how did you get here? And more importantly, how can you get out?

In Dread instead of rolling dice success is determined by pulling from the tower. But should the tower come tumbling down someone’s going to die.

System: Puppetland
GM: Jon Maness
Saturday, Mar 11, 8am-1pm  2017

In one golden hour, you and your friends shall weave a tale none will soon forget: a tale of good-hearted puppets in a bad-hearted world. You shall rise up against the savagery of Punch the Maker-Killer with his army of Nutcrackers and his terrible Boys, sewn from the flesh of the Maker of all puppets. You shall be steadfast and true. You shall likely die trying.

Puppetland is a storytelling game. You play a valiant puppet who speaks aloud every word you say. You speak for your puppet and the Puppetmaster says the rest. You surprise each other at every turn, collaborating moment by inspired moment to unlock your own creativity and find the puppet within.

Your puppets are ready to take the stage. But speak softly, lest the Nutcrackers hear — and come to call with a sharp rap-rap-rapping at the door.

At the workshop we will share the basics of escape room design how to build an engaging experience for your patrons without breaking the bank. When it is over you will have helped create your own escape activity and have a portfolio of resources that take the stress out of creating future event.

Once the workshop is over stay for ShushCon - a full weekend of games and hands-on escape room activities including both table-top and room-scale escapes.

Breakout EDU Kit will be awarded to one of our Escape Room Creation Workshop participants.  (A $125 value.)

ESCAPE TO THE LIBRARY includes an overview about what escape rooms are and how venues like libraries, schools, or museums, could utilize escape rooms at their facilities as well as the challenges they might face when offering this unique form of patron engagement.
