Retirement Seminar for Professor Santosh Shrivastava

Professor Santosh Shrivastava is due to retire from the School of Computing Science, Newcastle University, at the end September 2011. During his long research career, he has contributed immensely to the field of distributed computing systems and has been a good friend, a valued adviser and a helpful colleague to many of us. The School is marking the occasion of his retirement by organising this Workshop on Advances in Distributed Computing and Systems, during 7-8th September 2011.

The workshop serves both as an opportunity for Santosh's friends and colleagues to meet and reminisce, and as a forum for an exchange of views on the remarkable advances and state-of-art in this area of Computing Science.

Confirmed Speakers are: Roberto Baldoni, Steve Caughey, Graeme Dixon, Mark Little, Brian Randell and Alexander Wolf
