ABOUT US

The SHORINKAI ("pine forest practitioners") is a martial arts group dedicated to the study of the authentic Japanese Weaponry (Kobudo, Jodo and Iaido). The group is supported by the members and coaches and is a non-profit sporting entity.

The group follows the weapons syllabus of the Kokusai Jujutsu Ryu (KJR-IJI) Kobudo Division. Weapons training is drawn from the KJR Meidokan Kobudo Kyohan and includes many koryu (traditional) kata from Kokusai-ryu jujutsu, Shindomusoryu Jodo, Shindenmusoryu Kenjutsu, and aikijo.
