So Doshin, Kaiso
So Doshin was the founder of Shorinji Kempo. So Doshin saw that "given that everything is conducted by people, then there is no other way to achieving real peace than to make as many individuals as possible with strong senses of charity, courage, and justice," and so he created Shorinji Kempo. The purpose in this was not to make strong people or people with great technique, but to work through the practice of Shorinji Kempo and through people's work to acquire healthy bodies, indomitable courage, and well-rounded character in order to make individuals capable of leading happy lives. Sensei David Wang
Sensei David Wang, is the founder of the Malaysia Shorinji Kempo Federation and has been a WSKO Instructor since 1 April 2006. He has also served as WSKO Councillor from 1 April 2006 to 31 March 2010. Sensei David Wang has practised Shorinji Kempo since 1966 from the founder of Shorinji Kempo in Malaysia, Sensei M Kunimoto. Sensei David Wang believes that the practise of Shorinji Kempo must eventually move from the fist to the heart. "A fist that touches the heart comes with the training and teaching of Shorinji Kempo and through the interaction between teachers and students. Fist denotes strength and heart denotes love. When strength is being abused it becomes brutality whereas love without strength is weakness. Without these two elements, strength and love, a martial art is meaningless".
