Matches to Watch

A-North

Long Branch at Howell: September 25

After splitting their two matchups during the 2017 season, this late September battle should be just as interesting between the Rebels and the Green Wave. Both teams are returning experienced players who will be ready to compete.

Colts Neck at Wall: September 27

This early season matchup could go a long way in determining the A-North champion. In their two matches last season, Wall narrowly edged out Colts Neck both times. With each of these teams returning a solid core of players, their two matches this season should be just as entertaining!

Marlboro at Freehold: October 14

In their last matchup of the 2016 season, it took extra points in the third set to determine a winner. After dropping a heartbreaker, the Mustangs will be looking for revenge against the Colonials in 2017.

A-South

Toms River East at Toms River South: September 18th

B-North

Rumson-Fair Haven at Red Bank Catholic: September 27

With the Bulldogs looking to build off of their 2016 success, this matchup with the Caseys could help put Rumson in the driver’s seat for a divisional title.

Saint Rose at Trinity Hall: October 5

Two of the newer programs in the conference, both Saint Rose and Trinity Hall have made tremendous growth over the past few seasons. Both teams are returning players at key positions, which should make for an entertaining match.

Red Bank Catholic at Saint John Vianney: October 5

Two perennial contenders in the non-public bracket, both the Lancers and the Caseys will be prepared to battle. When these two teams meet, it always makes for great competition and a playoff atmosphere.

B-South

Central at Lacey: September 6

For two teams looking to qualify for both the Shore Conference and State tournaments this season, an opening day matchup will allow either Central or Lacey to start the season off on a high note.

Jackson Liberty at Pinelands: September 11

With each team returning seasoned veterans, both Jackson Liberty and Pinelands have big aspirations for the 2017 season. This September matchup could have serious playoff seeding implications.
