I received my PhD in 2016 from the Department of Mathematics at the Ohio State University. My thesis advisor is Prof. Jean-François Lafont. After that, I had a three year postdoc position at Indiana University working with Prof. Chris Connell. During 2019-2020, I visited Dr. Grigori Avramidi at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn. Then during 2021-2022, I did my last (hopefully) postdoc at Michigan State University with Prof. Ben Schmidt.

I have broad interests in the areas of differential geometry, geometric topology, geometric group theory and dynamical systems. I am particularly interested in Gromov norm (simplicial volume) and bounded cohomology of non-positively curved spaces. More recently, I study the (infinite volume) discrete isometry subgroups of Hadamard manifolds, especially on how the critical exponent interacts with the geometry and topology of the quotient manifold. Here is my CV (updated 12/20/2023).
