I am a Software Engineer in Machine Learning (ML) at Google since Aug 2020 working on Explainable Artificial Intelligence. Previously, I was a ML scientist at Amazon (2016-20), and worked on substitutes recommendation (supporting several product comparison widgets) and SageMaker Ground Truth (scalable data labeling service). Prior to that, I got my PhD from University of California, San Diego at the intersection of machine learning and cognitive science, developing models of how humans and animals learn, and make decisions in certain scenarios. I got my undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering back in India, and realized I liked the math better than the applications, prompting the switch to AI.
