Standard Operating Procedures for Updating Displacement Register

To track the return/resettlement of registered IDPs from the IDP sites to their place of origin or another place of their choosing in order to advise planning and avoid duplication

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP):

The Registration of earthquake affected internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Haiti began in February 2010 under the leadership of the Department of Civil Protection (DPC) in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

In collaboration with the Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) Cluster and the Shelter Cluster, Standard Operating Procedures have been developed for the tracking of the registered IDP population during initial phase of return.  

CCCM and Shelter/NFI cluster partners will provide IOM with updated information on IDPs that have been selected for return/resettlement programs. [Read more..]
