Squad & Sponsors

Shaw Karate Club would like to thank the following sponsors without whom Andy would not be able to fulfil his ambition of competing at the World and European level.

Shaw Karate Club has had numerous students selected for the England squad over the years including for many years Sensei Keith Cockburn who has successfully competed in many World and European championships all over the world.

Andrew Hall, one of our brown belt students is continuing that tradition and has been training with the SKF England squad for about 18 months. Travelling once and sometimes twice a month to train with the England squad around the country.  This dedication has now earned him a spot on the England Squad for the upcoming Kimura Shukokai International World Championships in South Africa between July 20th and 25th 2014.

SKF Shaw is proud to be a member of the Shukokai Karate Federation (SKF) and all students train under the guidance of Sensei Keith Cockburn and the other club instructors and also with the England Squad under World Chief Instructor Shihan Eddie Daniels 8th Dan and Coaches Sensei Clem Braithwaite, Sensei Solfrid Daniels, Sensei Paul Richards and Sensei Audun Daniels.

As with so many non Olympic sports there is little, if any, central funding available to meet the
training, travel, kit and accommodation costs associated with representing England at World and European level. Andy spends many hours training hard striving for success at an international level.

It is anticipated that Andy will have to raise in the region of £2500-£3000 to enable him to travel and compete in the championships.

If you or your organisation is prepared to assist Andy in reaching his goal then please contact us by emailing us at shawkarate@gmail.com.

Any Sponsors will have their company logo and link placed on this website, Shaw Karate club and Andy appreciate any help that you can give.

"Hall of England fame!" ANDREW Hall is the latest Shaw Shukokai Karate Club member to have earned a call-up to the England squad.

Hall has been part of the SKF national training programme for around 18 months, and that dedication has now earned him a place in the England set-up for the forthcoming Kimura Shukokai International World Championships which take place in Cape Town, South Africa, from July 20-25 this year.

Hall is looking for sponsorship assistance as his trip to South Africa will be an expensive one.

Potential sponsors are invited to contact his Shaw club via email at: shawkarate@gmail.com.
