Biking & Carpools


Parking is very limited at the campsite, so everyone needs to please carpool.  
Cycling is another great option  - details are below on a group ride starting in San Francisco.

Cycling

Bicycle to Shavuot on the Mountain! Celebrate Shavuot in the wilderness without contributing to destruction of the wilderness! Announcing the carbon free alternative way to get to Mount Tam:

You can print out your own copy of this map and leave when you want to. Total distance is about 15 miles from the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco, or 17.5 miles from Civic Center BART.

If you would like to join a group that is bicycling there, meet Howard Metzenberg at Civic Center BART at 3:00 pm or the Jewish Community Cneter of San Francisco at 3200 California Avenue at 3:30 pm. Do not be late. Please let him know that you are planning to bike (metzenberg@yahoo.com or 847-769-5235).

Please bring:

1. Pack your stuff for camping in panniers.
2. Bring at least one extra tube that fits your bike, and a small portable pump that works for your tubes (presta or schraeder).
