Sharon Firemen's Assoc.

The fire and rescue needs of Sharon, Vermont are supported by the Sharon Firemen's Association, Inc., and its Volunteer Fire Department. Currently, there are 24 active members. The department provides mutual aide for surrounding towns.

The firehouse is located at 5808 Route 14. It has a kitchen, meeting room, a fire chief's office, storage, and two bays. The department owns four vehicles: Car 1, Engine 1, Engine 2, and Tanker 1. The department also owns a 1925 Model T parade vehicle donated by Ernie Phelps. The firehouse is an emergency shelter for the town.

The Sharon Fire Department participates in annual town gatherings. It hosts an annual chicken barbecue at the Old Home Day celebration. Members of the department are also active in town committees such as E911 management, fire wardens, and the South Royalton Rescue Squad's Advisory Board.
