FAMILY VOCABULARY Lesson Plan

Students’ Prior Knowledge: to ask “Wh-” questions to find out specific information about their family (e.g. Who is she??)  to use nouns to identify their family (e.g. mother, father,…)

Objectives: At the end of the lesson, students are expected to be able to

Tell the name of their famly  e.g. He  is my daddy

a. use the simple present tense to express simple information (e.g. shés my grandma.)

General Information:    Level: Primary 1   Time: 40 minutes

Presentation

1 Stick the flashcards on the blackboard and ask Ss what the pictures show.

2 Ask Ss to read aloud the vocabulary items

3.Put up the pictures on the board and ask Ss WHO IS HE? WHO IS SHE? WHO ARE THEY?

4. Introduce the sentence structure “He is my grandpa …”.

5. Let Ss make sentences orally.

2. The students are going to play on the computer to earn those words.

 LINGÜÍSTICA: LÈXICA: Escribir e identificar vocabulario de deportes en presente simple verbo PLAY. SINTÀCTICAS Y MORFOLÒGICA: Presente simple, afirmaciones, negaciones y preguntas con Wh-questions. PRAGMÀTICA: Formaciòn de oraciones simples. SOCIOLINGUÌSTICA: Uso adecuado del Verbo PLAY  para realizar correctamente las oraciones. TEXTUAL: Lectura, analisis y comprension de textos.          
 Cognoscitiva: se tendrá en cuenta en la evaluación: la busqueda, selección y almacenamiento de la información en la producción textual.   
Procedimental: se tendrá en cuenta la comprensión, análisis, argumentación y proposición textual.

The students will learn  to identify and telling  the expressions:  January, February, March, April,May, June, July , August, September , October, November and December

WARM UP ACTITY  (10-15 minutes)

Teacher wil show months and season song

After the students eill repeat the months and the seasons

INFORMATION  (Give and/or demonstrate the necessary information)

Then the leader student explains the expressions  through flash cards  using  above  expressions                     

VERIFICATION   (Steps to check for student understanding)

The students   will repeat the expressions after the leader students, who will give the example. (First, all  group, After by groups)

ACTIVITY (Describe the independent activity to reinforce this lesson)

The  leader student will put each expression on the board and the students will say the right word. Later, The students will represent them through a drawing on the notebook.

The students in Primary (201) in the afternoon shift were very happy singing  a short song about the fingers as warming up, with the Teacher Azucena  after they did an exercise sayinj all about themselves with the leader students (three 1103  students Marcela Martinez, Eliana Peña and Lorena Torres)

INTERACTIVE GAME USING THE PARTS OF THE BODY 
We are trying to do ludic activities in this project with all primary students in the afternoon shift.
SO we did a song: colors and an interactive game for the next class we are going to do another song about the body.
You can look some image about the activity that the Primary students (201) did in the CRI ENGLISH RESOURCES CENTER
              
Besides these students enjoyed being in the CRI playing on the computer, they were doing a good exercise to find the image that had relation with the sound that they heard   The leader students  Eliana and Lorena were teaching them how they could play on the computer and they learned some  body expressions and enjoyed their English learning.
                  
The game on the computer was too interesting to the children that it was fascinating to see their different reactions about the results that they  had to find the complete image. Each student used the computer playing with the interactive game designed to them according to the topy parts of the body
                        
The leaders students were concentrating alllthe time in explaining them how to use the mouse and the program too.
The afternoon shift Teacher Clara Lozano was paying attention about the students' behavior and took some photos about this activity done in the CRI. ENGLISH RESOURCES CENTER.
