The Last Supper

The Last Supper was the last meal the disciples of Jesus Christ shared with Jesus before he was arrested and crucified. Followers of Jesus Christ (Christians) remember The Last Supper whenever they take part in Holy Communion/ Eucharist/ Lord's Supper (different words for the same event to remember The Last Supper). During The Last Supper Jesus shared bread and wine and told his disciples to eat and drink in remembrance of him. It was also at The Last Supper that Jesus washed his disciples feet to remind us all to find ways to serve others. Christians believe that the bread and wine they share while remembering The Last Supper represent the body and blood of Jesus who died to forgive their sins. Christians believe that their sins are forgiven each time they eat bread and drink wine during their gatherings to remember The Last Supper.

The Last Supper reminds us all how important it is for each one of us to regularly:
  • Address and confess past sins...
  • Escape through forgiveness the guilt of past sins...
  • Challenge ourselves to repent (move away) from past sins...
  • Challenge ourselves to find ways to serve others...
