         Bio: Shaojun Zhu is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Rutgers University working with Kostas Bekris in the PRACSYS Lab. He's also working closely with Abdeslam Boularias
He received Master of Science in Engineering of robotics from University of Pennsylvania in May 2014. His advisor was Kostas Daniilidis.
Before studying in Philadelphia, he received Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Information Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and TechnologyWuhan, P.R.China in June 2012, 
where he was working under the supervision of Wenyu Liu in Multimedia and Communication Lab. 
 
Research interests:  
robotics: manipulation and planning (especially under uncertainty)
machine learning: representation learning (a.k.a deep learning) and Bayesian optimization
computer vision: object detection, recognition and pose estimation
