I am a lecturer in Electrical Engineering at Deakin University. I have completed my PhD in Engineering with a specialization in wireless communications in 2015 from the Australian National University (ANU). My PhD supervisors are A/Prof. Parastoo sadeghi and Dr. Salman Durrani. Previously, I have completed B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2009 from Bangladesh University of Engineering and technology (BUET) where I also worked as a Lecturer between 2009 and 2010. I worked as a tutor/lab demonstrator at ANU from 2013 to 2015. In March 2016, I joined Deakin University as a lecturer, where I am the unit chair for several subjects on Electrical Engineering at present. My research interests include cooperative communication, D2D communication, energy management, microgrid, and smart grid communication.
I have been an active member of IEEE, IEEE Communications Society and IEEE Women in Engineering from 2009. I served as a reviewer of highly reputed IEEE conferences and journal papers. For my research activities, I have achieved the 2012-2013 IEEE Australia Council student paper award in WIE category. I have participated in the courses 'Principles of Tutoring and Demonstrating' and 'Foundations of University Teaching and Learning'.
