I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My research focus is on urban social vulnerability and climate change adaptation. My broad research interest is on social vulnerability, urban growth management, climate change, and disaster risk management. Currently I am teaching 'GIS for Planners' (UP 418), an introductory course to Geographic Information System (GIS) at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning. Previously I have worked as a statistics and GIS consultant at Applied Technologies for Learning in the Arts and Sciences (ATLAS).
Before joining the PhD program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign I have worked as a Lecturer of Urban and Regional Planning at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
