double click on window to import media or drag folder to project panel
open a video
check its frame rate from Meta Data panel and make sure the frame rate is ok for you as it will be used for the entire project
Right click on video and new Sequence from clip
from here on, if you just drag the video icon or audio icon it brings that one only if you don't want both from a clip

Use razor tool to chop a video to two
Ripple delete to delete that section

1. new project
2. import assets
3. double click a video, click i and o to select in and out.
4. drag the video to the tiny marker at the buttom of Bin tab called "New Item", and a new sequence will be created in the Timeline tab
4.1. click the horizontal scroll bar at the sequence tab to zoom. or press "\" to just display current video or + - to zoom
5. the sequence will be named as the first video inserted, just rename it
5.1 its good to put it in a Sequences folder

Shift+1 for the project pane, Shift+2 for the source monitor, Shift+3 for the timeline and Shift+4 for the program monitor.

In the project tab to open folder in place Command+Double Click. In the icon view, scroll the mini scroller onthe pane to zoom.

In the timeline to make a track's row wider you can put mouse over it and two finger swipe up/down (scroll up mouse). Shift+Option+two finger scroll to make all videos/sound rows size grow/shrink the same amount. To reset, click the Wrench icon minimize all tracks

In Source JKL  J:move backwards, K to Pause and L to move forwards. KJ to move backwards slowmo, KL move forward slowmo. ArrowRight/Left do the same. In Source youcan select between Drag Audio Only and Drag Video Only to have a betterplace to mark In and Out

The  first column in Timeline marks the line for final video production, the second V column is for the video on my time line for cut/copy/paste/del where new videos should be put into or targeted for edit, ...

-To trim the head or tail of a track in timeline just drag it to the place you want and it will be trimmed.
-Timeline right click Ripple Delete to remove gap between consecutive tracks
-OR to do these both in one shot click 'B' or Ripple Edit Tool so when you trim it both trims and removes the created gap.
Ripple Trim can also be additive. Adding frames at the end if a few frames were missed out.
-OR Option drag to do ripple edit.

N or Rolling Editing is for when two clips are concatenated and you want to just move when the transition happens. just drag using this tool and it will split the screen between two consecutive clips to show

So to trim: 1)basic trim 2) ripple 3) roll

click on M button on audio to mute the music
drag the middle horizontal line in the middle of the audio to increase or decrease the volume. you can also change it with [ or ] keys. for humans between -12 to -6 is normal
To reuse the volume attribute of one audio track on other audios, click the desired audio, Command-C, Edit>Paste Attributes, make sure volume is selected.

To make music loud in beginning and low when she starts to talk Add key frames. Add another keyframe right before music gets loud again and another right when it gets loud to adjust the loud part volume comparative to narration.
So, set the primary audio first, then adjust the music volume accordingly.


Title>New Title>Default Still    set the name to Souzie lower third. You can drag kerning to adjust it
Add a rectangle. Title>Arrange>Send to Back
just close the title window and it will be automatically saved with the name you specified. Add it when the user speaks on another row
right click on the edge of a video to Add Transition you can make them longer or shorter.
ُTo set the default number of frames per transition you can click on preferences General>Video Transition Default Duration

to output makesure TimeLine is Selected File>Export>Media             uncheck Match Sequence Settings.  H.264 (Great for web videos) further you can select the device you want to play the movie on.  Match Source High   set Source Range to Entire Sequence.
You can queue each export and run all at the end.

On Source:  Clip>Make Subclip (Command-U) creates a subclip file to be reused restricted (boundary) or not

Because the first clip you put into TimeLine will determine the features of the whole sequence you wanna make sure you put in the most representative of file format first. e.g. dont put an old archival file then an HD video.

In the project tab click New Item to start a new Sequence


To swap two video clips in Timeline: Command-Option drag
TimeLine: deselect audio and select V2press . tooverwrite

in Source mark In and not Out, in TimeLine mark In and Out,Press . Premier Pro will take the same length from Source and put it in TimeLine

Option drag to only trim vide/audio not both.
Option-Delete to dlete a clip and bring everything infron of it back.
c or Razor splits a a clip so you can modify each side. Shift-c cuts through all tracks not just the one.
Option-Click to select video or audio (not both)

to delete both pieces from both left and right concatenating clips, mark In, mark Out, ; (Lift) to remove just video deselect Audio
F to open the original video with current video clip marked as In and Out in it.
On menu at TimeLine you can display continous thumbnails of each clip as you zoomin

Chapter 5. Trim Tools

Audio gain: clip input loudness to the program: Right click on the video clip in the project tab or timeline > Audio Gain> adjust decibels to proper range.

Apart from editing key frames on single clip audios, you can click on little circle Show KeyFrames > Track key frames to modify the volume of the whole track. individual clipkey frames still apply after this

You can merge files, audio from video and audio from another sound recorder based on time or audio. select both and merge.

Motion: click on an image, Effects Control Tab>motion, press the stop watch icon by scale and position to add keyframes right where the display cursor is.    Then move cursor to where you want to be in future frames then either directly add key frames or just move picture as you wish and it will record yourmodifications as to. The whole motion can either by linear or bezier

You can import a photoshop .psd file layers separatey as sequence.
-Click on the layer, in the Effects tab Basic 3D, drag it right on that image layer. Then you'd see the basci 3d effect option in the Effects Control Tab
- set the stop of swivel, move to where yoi want the effect happen, add another key frame to memorize current location. get back to first key frame and set it to -90 degree
- you can click on the image>copy>paste attributes on allother layers. (makesure only basic 3d effect is being copied)


similarly you can put effects on videos as well.
