I have around 14 years of experience in teaching and research in economics and health economics. My research areas are Public Finance, Health Economics (mostly economic evaluations). Currently, I am working as a consultant at the World Bank with Behavioral Economics Division. Along with strong quantitative skills (econometrics) I have two expertise: Bayesian Analysis, and Spatial Analysis/Econometrics that help me work in cross-cutting issues such as Bayesian cost-effectiveness analysis, spillover effects of fiscal policies, etc.
After finishing my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Nebraska Lincoln (UNL), the USA in 2017, I returned to Bangladesh, and I am currently working as an Associate Professor at the University of Dhaka where I have been teaching master level Microeconomic theory, Econometrics, Health Economics. During my graduate studies, I was involved with several research projects and I taught many undergraduate and Master/ Ph.D. level courses at UNL. I received the best research award (two times) and the best teaching award (two times) at UNL.
