St. Genevieve Parish Pilgrimage Songs

Totus Tuus, totally yours
Totus Tuus, totally yours
The Rock and the Lamb
The Lord and the Man
Totus Tuus, totally yours

And we will follow you
Yes, we will follow you
wherever you lead
for we believe
your message is true.

And we will follow you
Yes, we will follow you
wherever you lead
for we believe
your message is true.

Our Lady of Fatima, sent from above,
appeared to three children to tell of God's love:

Refrain: Ave, Ave, Ave Maria! Ave, Ave, Ave Maria!

1. In Fatima's cove on the thirteenth of May;
the Virgin Maria appeared at mid-day.

2. The Virgin Maria surrounded by light;
God's Mother is ours for she gives us this sight.

3. The world was then suffering from war, plague, and strife,
and Portugal mourned for her great loss of life.

4. To three shepherd children the Virgin then spoke
a message so hopeful, with peace for all folk.

5. With sweet Mother's pleading, she asked us to pray,
do penance, be modest, the Rosary each day.

6. All Portugal heard what God's Mother did say,
converted it sings of that Queen to this day.

7. We all must remember Our Lady's request,
do all that she asks for, obey her bequests.

8. She warned of behavior from which we must turn,
of thoughts, words, and actions which Christians must spurn.

9. To her sad, sweet pleading our promise is made,
that God's Law in all things be strongly obeyed.

10. From nation to nation her fair name is praised,
as souls from sin's bondage are contritely raised.

11. Our thanks to the Godhead, whose ways are so sure,
for giving us Mary, our Mother Most Pure.

12. Our hearts, overflowing with kindness and love,
thank her for God's graces bestowed from above.

13. Hail, Refuge of sinners! Hail, Star of the Sea!
Hail, Queen of Creation! Our hope is in thee.

14. All hail, Virgin Mary! This Star guides our way,
our country's Protectress, America's Way!

1PM MASS MUSIC
Entrance: Magnificat (Wild Mountain Thyme)

My soul is filled with joy
As I sing to God my saviour:
You have looked upon your servant,
You have visited your people.

Chorus:
And holy is your name
Through all generations!
Everlasting is your mercy
To the people you have chosen,
And holy is your name.

I am lowly as a child,
But I know from this day forward
That my name will be remembered,
For all will call me blessed.

I proclaim the pow’r of God,
You do marvels for your servants;
Though you scatter the proud-hearted
And destroy the might of princes.

To the hungry you give food,
send the rich away empty.
In your mercy you are mindful
of the people you have chosen.

In your love you now fulfill
What you promised to your people.
I will praise you, Lord, my saviour,
Everlasting is your mercy.

Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to people of good will.

Psalm:
Their message goes out through all the earth.

Gosp. Acc.:
"Something which is known"
          Refrain: Alleluia, A--lleluia, Alleluia, A--llelu--ia

          Verse:
He it is in whom we have found the light of truth,
source of our hope, abiding gift of God’s love.
Through that love we pass and are born in life unending:
Jesus, our Lord, the fullness of our joy

Preparation of Gifts:

Lyrics

1. Ave Maria, gratia plena,
Oh holy Mary, full of grace,
Dominus tecum, with you the Holy One,
Such is the gift to know
God in your heart.

2. Benedicta, blest among women,
Benedictus, the child that you bore,
Jesus the Savior, God's love incarnate,
Benedicta,
Deep woman of faith.

Ave Maria,
Ave, Ave Maria.

3. Sancta Maria, Holy Mary,
Mater Dei, Mother of God,
Ora pro nobis, pray for our faithfulness,
All through the seasons of life
With hope and with love.

Ora pro nobis, pray for our faithfulness,
All through the seasons of life
With hope and with love.

Acclamations: Christ the Savior
Communion: Litany of Peace

Communion Meditation (if time allows): Totus Tuus (Dana)

As I stand on the ground on which you stood
And I walk in your footsteps
I imagine the way that you felt
And the thoughts you were thinking
Did you see my face in the crowd?
And know that I love you.

Totus Tuus totally yours
Totus Tuus totally yours
The rock and the lamb
The Lord and the man
Totus Tuus totally yours .

You told us the people must be free
Every heart must be open
You said that justice is the key
But it takes our love to turn it
You said that you believed in me
You said you loved me.

Totus Tuus totally yours
Totus Tuus totally yours
The rock and the lamb
The Lord and the man
Totus Tuus totally yours.

And we will follow you,
yes we will follow you,
where ever you lead
for we believe your message is true.

And we will follow you,
yes we will follow you,
where ever you lead
for we believe your message is true.

Totus Tuus totally yours
Totus Tuus totally yours
The rock and the lamb
The Lord and the man
Totus Tuus were totally yours.

Totus Tuus totally yours
Totus Tuus totally yours
The rock and the lamb
The Lord and the man
Totus Tuus were totally yours.

And we will follow you,
yes we will follow you,
where ever you lead
for we believe your message is true.

And we will follow you,
yes we will follow you,
where ever you lead
for we believe your message is true.
