Note to self: this website is really old, you should probably update it soon...

I received my PhD in Computer-Science and Engineering and the interdisciplinary graduate program Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, and Behavior at Michigan State University last May 2010. I worked in the Devolab (Digital Evolution Laboratory) under Dr. Charles Ofria and Dr. Rich Lenski.
I am currently an assistant professor of Computer Science at Carleton College.

Outside of school I spend my time running/hiking/biking/climbing/camping/traveling, as much as possible with my dogs Adelaide and Athena. Also reading mostly science-fiction and fantasy novels (in Spanish when I can), playing the occasional video game, and practicing/competing with my ultimate frisbee team.
