 THAT'S A WRAP!
THE WINNER of the 2018 BATTLE is SOLEMNIS!

After much deliberation, Solemnis was declared the winner.  The judges took a long time deciding this one (the bands were all that good).  You can see Solemnis at the Haverford Music Festival this September - they'll be opening the WHHS stage.  Photos from Battle VII are coming soon - so check back .....

SG Battle of the Bands will be back next year, so mark the 3rd Saturday of May for our return ...

A youth-focused family-friendly event showcasing area bands (all members between ages 13-21) as they compete for prizes and bragging rights.  There will be music, food, video games, door prizes, and more.  All donations received are used exclusively for the organization and promotion of the Battle of the Bands event.

An event for youth by youth - competing bands not only play music, but setup, promote and sell tickets for their gig - just like professional bands.

SG Battle of the Bands is a non-profit event hosted at St. George's Episcopal Church, which began as a youth group sponsored event in 2010.  Since then it has become a separate event of its own, open to all area high school and college bands.  The event is organized by former youth group leaders Christina Webster and Paul Joslin, with the help of a small group of adult and youth volunteers, and support from community organizations like Haverford High School's WHHS radio station and the Haverford Music Fest.

Want to get involved?  Click the link below for info, or to help us with this year's Battle - we're looking for a Marketing and Communications intern, so let us know if you're interested - looks good on a resume.  We can also use door prizes, video games, and help getting the word out .... oh, and of course Bands (age 13-21yrs).
