Annual Men's Night - 2018

Our Men’s Dinner will be held on Friday the 30th of November in the SFX hall. This annual function, which has been running successfully for the past 16 years, aims for the men in the Parish to have a great time by sharing in a meal, listening to a guest speaker and conducting a few raffles.

This year’s guest speaker is Mr Tony Shaw who has kindly donated his time in speaking at this function. In 1990, Tony captained the club to a historic premiership, the club's first in 32 years, defeating Essendon. Tony’s 35 touches saw him earn the Norm Smith Medal as best on ground. In the same season, Tony won his second Copeland Trophy.

Tony became a media commentator after his coaching role, commentating on radio for 3AW Football before joining the Fox Footy Channel as a commentator/special comments for several seasons.

Although the ‘Men’s Night’ is not a fundraising event as such, the night usually makes a profit and we donate to charity. This year’s charity organisation is Challenge, supporting kids with cancer (www.challenge.org.au).

If any businesses or companies can contribute any goods or services towards the raffle please contact us ASAP.

Cost: $35 (spit roast dinner, BYO nibbles and drinks)
