Guest Rules

Whether you heard about SF Vacation Hut on the internet, from our local newspaper the Noe Valley Voice, or by word of mouth from our neighbors, we are happy that you found us.    If you have checked our availability calendar and rates, and are interested in booking, please check the information on procedures and guest rules below. 

Payment Schedule
  • Payments accepted via personal check, credit card, electronic funds transfer (online, with your bank account), or bank wire.
  • Reservation Deposit Required: $250 for Weekly Bookings; $500 for Monthly Bookings. The reservation deposit goes toward payment of your total bill.
  • Monthly Bookings (30 days or more): Remainder of Total Bill for First 30 Days is due 30 days prior to arrival; $500 Security Deposit due 14 days prior to arrival; Next Payment due 30 Days prior to the start of the the next unpaid 30 days or Partial 30 days.
  • Weekly Bookings (29 days or less): Remainder of First 50% Payment is due 28 days prior to arrival; $250 Security Deposit + Remainder of Total Bill due 14 days prior to arrival.

    Cancellations

    Cancel at least 42 days prior to arrival for monthly reservations for a refund of all monies paid.  The cancellation deadline is 30 days prior to arrival for weekly reservations.
    Cancellations must be made in writing to sfvacationhut@gmail.com.
    After the cancellation deadline, no refunds will be made.

    Please buy Travel Insurance if you think there's any chance you might cancel. Examples:

    Basic Rules*

    Due to allergy concerns: No Smoking, No Pets

    Standard Occupancy: 2 adults + children age 10 and under.

    While the apartment is spacious, it is a studio, meaning there is no bedroom separate from the main living space.  It is perfect for couples, or parents traveling with infants, toddlers, or small children.  It is NOT designed for more than 2 adults.  

    If you've got more than 2 people in your party, there is an additional nightly rate of $21.74 per person per night (comes to $25 after tax).  Children / kids age 10 and under stay for FREE.

    Upon check-out, make sure you have returned to us the belongings that were in the apartment upon arrival, including the laptop computer, printer/copier/scanner, linens and towels, visitor guide books, hair dryer, and other items.  For the supplies in the apartment, such as spices, coffee, tea, paper products, and detergents, please only use what is needed for your stay and leave the remaining for the next guest.

    Please clean your own dishes prior to departure; there is a dishwasher in the apartment.

    Please remove your own belongings before check-out and adhere to the Guest Rules provided below.  

    We generally require a 7-night minimum stay, but shorter stays are possible once in awhile. Just ask!

    When you inquire, let us know how many people, what dates, and if you're bringing a car or not.  This is very important.  Otherwise, we cannot give you an accurate rate quote.  

    If the dates are available, we'll send you a Payment Contract and Guest Rules for you to sign and return to us. We'll also give you a call to clear up any questions you may have.   Even if you're international, we will give you call to make sure everyone is on the same page, with regards to expectations for the apartment and your upcoming stay.  Once all of that is done, if the dates are still available, we'll give you the green light to send in your Payment. 

    Once you get the green light, take care to send your payment in as quickly as possible.  We prefer payments be sent via electronic funds transfer; just input your bank routing and account number through our easy online system.  You may also send payment via personal check (sent in the mail or dropped off in person).  International guests may use the online payment system to pay by credit card.  Once you decide to book with us, be sure to send payment promptly.  The reservation dates will be confirmed only AFTER we receive your payment ... and you don't want someone else getting your spot!
