    Occasionally older cards are reprinted in newer sets. The older versions of the cards can be made legal for tournament play by Play! Pokémon. If there is a text change on the newer version of the card, a reference may be required to play older versions of the card. PokeGym.net maintains a list of legal cards that include older cards that are legal for tournament play. The list indicates whether or not a reference is required.
