Citywide - Community Focus

Mission Statement
The Citywide and Community Focus Center is a UCSF site where the Citywide Case Management and Community Focus programs provide compassionate, respectful, culturally and clinically competent, and comprehensive psychiatric services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, often co-existing with substance abuse.

The Center's Staff Members are dedicated to enhancing of the quality of life of each client we serve. Our multi-disciplinary treatment are designed to honor each client's goals and hopes; to support diversity in race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, and sexual orientation; to affirm each person's strengths; and to help each client engage in meaningful and purposeful educational, spiritual, social, vocational, and recreational activities.

Program Description
Citywide Case Management and Community Focus are both composed of multidisciplinary teams of psychiatrists, licensed psychiatric technicians, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, occupational therapists, nurse specialists, peer case managers and others. The Center also has internship opportunities in each program.

Bilingual services are provided in Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Spanish, Russian, and French. Further cultural competencies include African American, Pakistani, Filipino, and LGBT. We strive to provide for clients' needs and support diversities of race, ethnicity, language, religion, gender and sexual orientation.
