Welcome! My name is Sarah Bailey, and I am a doctoral student in the Social-Industrial/Organizational psychology program at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.

My research focuses on interpersonal relationships at work. This includes positive experiences (socialization, mentoring) and negative (incivility, social undermining). My research also includes how individuals' expectations of each other influence their relationships.

I am currently collecting data for my dissertation under the supervision of Larissa Barber. My dissertation examines new employees' interpersonal work experiences.

I completed my M.A. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Southern Illinois Edwardsville in May 2012. Assistant Professor Joel Nadler supervised my thesis ("The Glass Cliff: Exploring Leadership Appointment Decisions in Relation to Applicant Sex and Group Dynamics").
