Bringing Sewing & Needle Arts to Our Community
The Clothing and Textile Advisors of Snohomish County
are trained volunteers who provide clothing, textile and needle arts education to the public. We are dedicated to reaching the community through our sewing expertise. We offer hands-on classes throughout the year, including our annual youth program, Camp Stitch-a-Lot.
A unique sewing and needle arts camp offered each summer for young people ages 8-17. Our goal is for the students to become familiar with sewing machines, notions & supplies, patterns, fabrics, design and other needle arts. The half-day classes are 1 week long.
For more information please visit campstitchalot.blogspot.com to see projects from past camps and watch for the 2012 class schedule.
CTA (Clothing and Textile Advisors) Training
CTA volunteers receive over 30 hours of professional training including programs,
speakers and hands-on instruction. Anyone interested in our organization is
invited to visit the Snohomish County chapter meetings on the 2nd Monday of the month,
September to June at McCollum Park in Everett.
CTA outreach unites with community needs not typically reached by other programs in Snohomish County.
We sew for our community. We make jackets, hats, scarves, pajamas, blankets, totes and walker bags
for women’s shelters, foster child facilities, and nursing homes.
If you love sewing and needle arts and want to share your talent and skills,
our volunteer program is a perfect fit for you.
