Q: What are the measurements of the Hawaii seat cover? The cover measure 32" from top head rest to seat, 20" from back rest to front edge of seat, and 22" wide for the seat. The top of the Hawaii seat cover measure 10" wide and taper wider down the seat to 22" wide for the rest of the seatback. Your headrest or top of the seat should not be wider than 10" for the covers to be pulled down properly. All covers have a black elastic backing that must be stretched around the sides and back of the seat and a little under the seat to allow the Hawaii seat cover to accommodate bucket seats up to two inches smaller or bigger from these measurements.

This is an older pattern (came out sometime after I took a break from quilting). But I had to go back and try it. This is fabric left over from a car seat cover and doll quilt made for my grand daughters but I liked it so much I had to do something for myself with it.. Will end up on the wall above my sewing machine.

The car seat cover pattern features a face opening with a ribbing band and a zipper on the front. A flap covers the opening or it can be folded and held in place with Velcro. The outside edges have elastic in casing to keep it in place on the car seat. Suggested fabrics include heavyweight stretch knits and woven fabrics such as Polarfleece®, Berber fleece, or blanket fleece. The bag pattern is for a lined bag with flap, a wide shoulder strap, inside pockets, a bottom stabilizer from cardboard or Mylar plastic and an optional decorative flap overlay from two or four different fabrics.
