The First Southern Englishes Workshop will be held
at the University of Brighton on 8th and 9th March 2014.
The conference is hosted by the Language and Linguistics group

Following the success of the Northern Englishes Workshop series, this conference lays the focus on any aspect of English in the linguistic south of the United Kingdom. We welcome papers in, but not limited to, dialectology, sociolinguistics, dialect in literature, discourse analysis, historical linguistics, language contact with English, and any other area of interest to English in the south.
