Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino

(click any image to enlarge)

Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino is located right in the middle of it all.  Miracle Mile Shopping Mall (attached to Planet Hollywood) is well represented with mid-priced stores in a very comfortable setting.  Lobby, valet parking, registration, gift shop, and VIP check-in are all located on the lower level.  The casino is located one flight up on the Strip level and restaurants are located on the casino mezzanine levels.  Since there are two separate guestroom towers (South and North), you need to acclimate yourself on how to get back to your room.
Hotel Guestrooms
PH standard rooms are very nice and are well appointed
183 have been renovated and dubbed Hip and Ultra Hip rooms.

Suites are very well appointed and many are "Sports/Hollywood Themed".  Specifically, the Panorama Suites are very impressive and offer great views of the mountains, Paris/Eiffel Tower, Bellagio fountains and City Center.  Suites are large. although they have very limited closet space.  A few less sports memorabilia displays and a few more closets would be greatly appreciated.
Participates in the PetStay program.

All rooms have coffeemakers and mini-refrigerators,

Insider Tip

Starbucks offers a VIP Express Line for Seven Stars, Diamond and Platinum cardholders.

Dining Options
A steak restaurant (Strip House) offers great food at a mid- to high-price point, and the Japanese/Sushi restaurant (Koi) offers great food, also at a mid- to high-price point.  Inside the casino are a PF Chang's, YOLӦS for Mexican food, an Earl of Sandwich and the Spice Market Buffet.  All offer low- to medium-price points.  In addition, there is a Pinks Hot Dogs from Los Angeles, Pin-Ups Pizza and a Gordon Ramsay BurGR, plus a Starbucks.  Note that neither Pink's nor YOLӦS accepts Reward Credits.

Planet Dailies has closed and Café Hollywood is now open.

Casino Overview

The casino is relatively small but still has all the table games, slots, video poker variations that all of the other casinos have.  It’s fairly quiet and very well maintained.  There’s a very comfortable "High Limit" slot area, as well a high limit table room.  Dealers at table games are courteous and very appreciative of tips.  Drink service is frequent and professional.  If you’re a player, get an executive host.  Charles Dunn does a great job.  He’s a veteran of other Caesars properties and "knows the deal".

Special Seven Stars Benefits
There are no property-specific benefits, but click here for a list of benefits which are available at all Las Vegas Total Rewards casinos.
Seven Stars Lounge
PH has no Seven Stars Lounge, and the Diamond Lounge is not easy to find.  Take the escalator to the mezzanine level (where Strip House and the theater are located).  Walk to the right through a large open area and stay to your right.  Look for the entrance to the Gallery Nightclub.  Instead of walking into the club, turn left.  Guests used to the comparatively "lavish" buffets in Atlantic City will be extremely disappointed at the lounge fare in Las Vegas.  Caesars apparently has put all its Diamond Lounges on a "Mediterranean Diet," but it's a nice selection of hummus, pita triangles, pretzels, potato chips, bruschetta, etc., and while many will disagree, it's a nice change of pace from the hoagies and hot dogs that used to be the main attraction.  Starting at 4 p.m. (until it runs out), the lounge serves hot food, e.g., chicken wings, mini-burritos, etc.  Online computers are available for guests to check email or print boarding passes.  Just like Diamond members, Seven Stars cardholders may bring one guest into the lounge; however, if the lounge is not busy, the host at the door may allow an additional guest or two.
Should You Choose This For Your Annual Retreat?
Las Vegas remains the gaming mecca in the United States, and is probably the most popular destination for Seven Stars trips.  With eight other Caesars properties in town (Bally's, Caesars Palace, The Cromwell, Flamingo, Harrah's, The LINQ, Rio and Paris), dozens of restaurants, nightclubs, golf, showrooms, the Forum Shops at Caesars (and other shops located inside Caesars properties), spa treatments, and relaxing by the pool (weather permitting), it would be easy to spend four nights (and $500) here – especially since you can "cross charge" to your room any meals, spa treatments, etc., even if they take place at another Caesars property in Las Vegas.  (Miracle Mile restaurants and shops do not accept Total Rewards comps, and you cannot charge meals and other purchases to your room.)  For those without other transportation, complimentary shuttles for Total Rewards®  members run regularly among several of the Caesars-owned casinos.

When you check-in, be sure to verify that your $500 comp account has been set-up. Alcohol charged to the room counts toward your $500 in expenses, but not gratuities for meals and spa treatments.  Best advice is to keep all your receipts until you settle your final bill.
