BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Wenbo Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the School of Transportation
at Southeast University since February 2019 where he teaches courses in data
mining and machine learning for Transportation Big Data. Previously, he obtained
his PhD in civil engineering from Purdue University, master in engineering from
Southeast University, China, and bachelor in engineering from China University
of Mining and Technology, China.
He is the member of Complex Transportation Network Research Center at Southeast
University. His current areas of interest include: big data analytics and
machine learning for transportation systems, behavioral issues and game theory
in sharing economy, complex network modeling, coupled systems modeling, optimal
system control and reinforcement learning. His research involves knowledge from
multiple disciplines, including social sciences, computational sciences,
physics, operation research, and economics, to create insightful solutions for
transportation modeling, in particular urban mobility system modeling. He has
published more than 20 peer reviewed journal and conference papers in the above
topics. Most journals and conferences are at top level in the field of
Transportation and Big Data, for instance, International Symposium on
Transportation and Traffic Theory, IEEE International Conference on Big Data,
Transportation Research Part C, Computer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure
Engineering, and Transportation.
Dr. Wenbo Zhang is also serving WTC technical committee of Smart and Automated Transportation Systems and CICTP 2019 organizing committee. Meanwhile, he is also reviewers for multiple journals, such as Transportation Research Part C, Journal of Transport Geography, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IET Intelligent Transport Systems, Transportation Research Record, IEEE ITSC, Sustainability.
