I am currently working at Motorola Mobility as imaging algorithm engineer. Developing cameras for smartphones, I am learning all the aspects of imaging systems and trying to improve their image quality.
I received his B.E. degree (Magna Cum Laude) and M.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from Sogang University, Seoul, South Korea, in Aug. 2005 and Aug. 2007. I joined Image Processing Lab, supervised by Prof. Rae-Hong Park at Sogang University during the master study. After receiving my master's degree, I worked as software engineer at LG Electronics Mobile Communications Laboratory, Seoul, Korea, until Sep. 2011. After that, I joined Image and Video Processing Laboratory under the guidance of Prof. Aggelos K. Katsaggelos. I received my Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department at Northwestern University in Aug. 2018.
My research interests are in inverse problems on image processing (super-resolution, image reconstruction), computer vision, and computational photography + machine learning and deep learning + imaging algorithms (3A algorithms, ISP pipeline, HDR).
I enjoy traveling, playing sports and taking photography
