The MidSouth SETAC Regional Chapter annual meeting to be held on the campus of Arkansas State University May 19-20, 2011 and the Forest Wood Nature Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Jonesboro is the academic, economic and medical center of northeast AR, located near the center of the MidSouth regional chapter on Crowley’s Ridge, a unique geological feature found only in AR and Siberia, Russia. Join us at MidSouth SETAC in Jonesboro!
We are inviting abstracts and participation in all areas but especially in Natural Resources Management, Multidisciplinary Approaches to Solving Environmental Problems, Science and Education, Sustainability, and of course, Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry! You can find more information about the meeting, registration, lodging, and abstract submission at the Meetings and Events page.
Don't forget to sign up for the canoe trip along the Cache River National Wildlife Refuge through the cypress/tupelo wetlands where the “extinct” Ivory-Billed Woodpecker was rediscovered several years ago. A professional ornithologist will provide a history of the rediscovery and subsequent search effort of which he was a key part.
Abstracts for platform and poster presentations must be submitted by MAY 6, 2011.
Additional information is available in the downloads attached to the Meetings and Events information.
