Welcome to the home page of the Mid-South Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) Regional Chapter.  The Chapter is a non-profit organization, hosting annual meetings and workshops pertaining to regional and global interests in environmental toxicology and chemistry.  Our meetings, workshops and other activities foster relationships with educators, general public, professional organizations, student organizations, regulators, researchers and others.  Our chapter disseminates science information and is a resource for all in the region.  Our goals are intended to meet local needs of SETAC members and chapter members and to promote the goals of its parent society.

Members of Mid-South SETAC come from a variety of disciplines in the region, from AL, AR, LA, IL, KY, MO, MS, and TN.  The annual chapter meeting location rotates among these states, so many other regional chapters are sometimes included.  The chapter encourages student membership and many aspects of the chapter are geared toward student participation and benefits. The regional meetings provide students with an excellent forum for research presentations and an opportunity to interact with other scientists and prospective employers. Students are also encouraged to get involved and take on leadership roles by serving on the Mid-South SETAC Board of Directors and committees.
