The Serenade String Quartet comprises four Professional and Experienced musicians who perform a wide range of repertoire to suit your special day.

The instrumental line up is two violins, viola and cello.

We perform throughout Yorkshire at some of the prime wedding/corporate venues. We have also featured on the BBC program 'Don't Tell the Bride'.

We also offer a Trio (Violin, Viola and Cello or 2 Violins and Cello) and Duo (Violin and Cello) combination for smaller parties or venues.

Our repertoire list covers all musical genres from Bach to Beatles, Romantic to Ragtime, Film and Pop Favourites. We tailor our playlists to your specific function and requirements.

FAQ

Is an enquiry a booking?

No, a booking can only be confirmed on receipt of a deposit - at this point your date is secured in our diary.

Do you play outside?

Yes, weather permitting generally between May to September provided it is not raining, overly windy or unseasonably cold.

In sunny weather we need to play in shade to protect our valuable instruments.

We are using a videographer, will this be a problem?

No this will not interfere with our performance at your function. Please note that the booking is for a live performance therefore we would ask that you advise your videographer that they are not permitted to leave recording equipment by us and that they limit any direct video footage of the musicians to a 30 second clip.

What are your requirements?

The Quartet needs an area of 3m x 2m minimum and 4 armless chairs. No power sockets are needed but we do need adequate lighting in order to see our music.

Please notify your wedding coordinator or the venue that you are having a string quartet to ensure adequate space is available.

Do you require food and drink?

Although supplying us with food and drink isn't part of our contractual requirements, it's something that most people do for us and that we really appreciate, especially if we're playing for more than 2 hours. Soft drinks and sandwiches are always a popular choice.

Are you insured?

Yes. Our Public Liability Certificate is available to view on request.
