NSSLHA Chapter Recognition

NSSLHA Bronze Chapter Recognition Program

The NSSLHA Chapter Recognition Program awards local chapters for their fundraising, community service, advocacy, career awareness, and recruitment efforts. Chapters meeting the criteria for gold, silver or bronze status will be acknowledged by the national association annually during the ASHA Convention, in print, and on the Web.

In order to be considered for NSSLHA Chapter Honors, a local chapter must, at minimum, reach the Bronze level.

Chapters receiving "Bronze" (us!) recognition must meet these requirements:

  • In good standing with the national association
  • Donation to "NSSLHA Loves" of $250 or more
  • Participation in CSD Career Awareness month
  • Participation in one or more advocacy activities (write Senator or House representative, provide your Regional Councilor representative with a letter of advocacy to bring to Capitol Hill, meet with your local or state Representative)
