I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Sejong University, Seoul, Korea. 

My research lies primarily in macroeconomics, including international macroeconomics, macro-finance, and family macroeconomics. 

From 2023 to 2024, I was a visiting scholar in the Department of Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. From 2019 to 2023, I was the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Economic Integration and director of the Center for Economic Integration at Sejong University. Prior to joining Sejong University in 2017, I served as deputy director of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of South Korea from 2007. I earned a B.A. in Economics and Physics from Seoul National University in 2007 and a Ph.D. in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University in 2017.
