Liza Stuart

Background:

Liza was born on El Auria many centuries ago. If you asked her how old she is, she could only give you an approximate age. All she could tell you is that she left El Auria and her El Aurian heritage behind nearly a millennium ago. She was tired of the nickname "Liza The Listener" as it was most often used as a taunt. Even knowing that others were jealous of her did no good. She left as soon as she could to explore the galaxy.

Despite how bad things were for women on El Auria, she was not prepared for how bad they were for women on a planet called Earth.

She visited there in time to see the coronation of King Henry VIII, and like the excitement that his new reign brought. What she didn't like was how women were treated as second class citizens. And the religious wars that plagued England during that time made her sick to her stomach. She could never understand how people could kill in the name of a religion whose major tenet was not to kill.

She herself had died many times. Well not exactly died, but she had been forced to play dead every few decades or so. She really had no choice, when she hardly aged. It did not distress her when some people saw that she was indeed still alive, and looked no older. Some believed that she was some kind of angel.

That was the major hassle of being El Aurian, from a human perspective you hardly aged. It was heartbreaking for Liza to watch people she cared for and love die before her eyes. Earlier in life death had been the one thing that Liza couldn't become accustomed to. In fact, she was still not accustomed to death. It seemed wrong.

She could also not understand how life sometimes seemed to mean so little to people. To her, life was to be treasured, and everywhere she went, she tried to share that ethic. However she didn't share this with King Henry the 8th. Henry the 8th really only listened to himself anyway. Losing her own head was one sure way of staying dead.

All she wanted to do was teach people about the value of life or die trying.

Luckily Queen Elizabeth, 1st did listen. That was huge, considering that Queen Mary refused. Liza could not understand how Queen Mary and other rulers felt they had the right to kill whoever they wanted, whenever they saw fit. Watching the burning of people of different faiths still haunted her to this day. AND DON"T EVEN GET HER STARTED ON THE JEWISH GENOCIDES!

Modern Day:

Obviously a huge part of Liza Stuart's life is a mystery yet to be revealed.

She is currently aboard the S.S. Seiklon Axel, a lowly freighter which is a far cry from the royalty of old that she'd met. She craves adventure, even if that means that she must answer to the title, Liza The Listener again. She is a doctor now, with the ability to heal. Sometimes, she can even heal in matters of the heart, though she has many unhealed wounds of her own in this department. Don't ask her to let you listen to her.

She is the listener, after all.
