Please join us in Clemson on March 2-4, 2012 for the 9th annual Southeastern Ecology and Evolution Conference. This is the first time Clemson University is hosting this conference, and we hope you can make it!
The Southeastern Ecology and Evolution Conference (SEEC) began in Georgia Tech in 2004 by Dr. Alan Wilson (now at Auburn University). His vision was to have a conference run by students for students, and was modeled after other regional conferences (MEEC, the Midwestern Ecology and Evolution Conference, and NEEC, the Northeast Ecology and Evolution Conference). This conference is a great opportunity for graduate students, undergraduate students, and post-doctoral researchers to showcase their research in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
The conference is held at a different school in the southeast every year and has included Georgia Tech (2004), the University of Georgia (2005), the University of Alabama (2006), the University of Central Florida (2007), Florida State University (2008), University of Florida (2009), Georgia Tech (2010), Auburn University (2011), and will include Clemson University in 2012.
You do not need to present a talk or a poster to attend the conference. Anyone with an interest in ecology and evolution is welcome. We look forward to seeing you in Clemson in 2012!
