Professional Background

Ariel earned a B.A. in Rhetoric from the University of California at Berkeley in 2006. Upon graduation, Ariel got experience in many fields, including construction, waiting tables, filmmaking and screenwriting, tutoring, and fashion design.


After about five years of exploring many different careers, Ariel decided that he missed the community and structure of school and wanted to share his love of language and literature with students. Accordingly, he applied to the CSUN Credential Program for a Single Subject Credential in English. He began his 1-year credential track in Fall 2012, and is currently a student teacher for a 9th Grade English class at Granada Hills Charter High School - Map of School).

Interests and Hobbies

When not studying and reading for class, Ariel enjoys film, plays, museums, hiking, cats, photography, and gardening.
