Secondary Air Injection Solenoid Valve

    solenoid valve
  • Valve that is actuated with a electromagnetic solenoid magnet. 2 possible variations, NC (naturally closed) which is closed when there is no current applied and NO (naturally open) which is open when no current is applied
  • A solenoid valve is an electromechanical valve for use with liquid or gas. The valve is controlled by an electric current through a solenoid coil.
  • A quick-opening valve which is mounted on a pressurized tank. The opening of the valve generates a cleaning pulse which dislodges the dust from the filter elements.
    secondary air
  • In fuel burning kilns, air which enters kiln after initial combustion and feeds flames as they leave primary combustion source. In gas kiln, secondary air enters burner port around burner-tip.
  • The remaining air needed for complete combustion besides primary air. This is the air surrounding the flames outside the burner ports.
  • In some exhaust emission control systems, e.g., thermal reactor or two-bed converter, secondary (outside) air is added to the exhaust to ensure sufficient supply of oxygen to promote oxidation of HC and CO, thus converting these pollutants into harmless water vapor and carbon dioxide.
    injection
  • The action of injecting
  • A thing that is injected
  • any solution that is injected (as into the skin)
  • the forceful insertion of a substance under pressure
  • An instance of injecting or being injected
  • the act of putting a liquid into the body by means of a syringe; "the nurse gave him a flu shot"

Buckstay Penetration Seal in Power Plant A buckstay is a large horizontal beam that supports the walls of the boiler from imploding. In this case the buckstay penetrates the secondary air ducts. The buckstay penetration seal (gray fabric) isolates the movement of the buckstay from the movement of the secondary air ducts.
